the doomed lovers

the Moon blessed me with a glimpse of us as lovers. a vision, a thousand years ago. imperiously severe lovers, nocturnal spirits bound to each other. our bones made of velvet shivered as the wind whispered to us forgotten poems from time immemorial, gold-tinted tragedies of Light and Despair. i felt myself burning under your tender gaze, i wanted you to become the melting snow captured in the underground valleys i’d find refuge in during fierce thunderstorms.
